Meet Our Founders

Kaitlin Murphy (Stapleton)
Originally from Long Island, New York, Kaitlin is a licensed litigation attorney and healthcare compliance expert with deep experience in medical malpractice cases and corporate governance. As a licensed administrator which enables her to operate Assisted Living Facilities in Florida, Kaitlin has used her legal insights to craft practical policies and procedures that prioritize both residents’ safety and the well-being of care staff. Kaitlin’s proactive, detail-oriented approach ensures AUS Senior Living Group’s family of communities, operates with integrity and innovation.

Jacob Murphy
Hailing from New South Wales, Australia, Jacob is a real estate and construction professional specializing in healthcare-related ventures. With years of experience in senior living operations, as well as healthcare sectors including women’s health, Alzheimer’s research, geriatric primary care, pediatric primary & urgent care and mental health outpatient services, Jacob’s Australian roots inform his commitment to raising the standard of care in the U.S. His passion stems from a simple belief: everyone deserves clean, well-equipped facilities and access to quality healthcare—just as they would find in his home country.

A Shared Vision Sparked by Personal Experience

The Murphys’ inspiration came from personal challenges in finding senior care for their loved ones. Kaitlin, while seeking long term care for a loved one, saw gaps in the U.S. middle-market providers, where quality and consistency often fell short, while Jacob, who was seeking additional care for his grandmother; Betty, recalled Australia’s clean, social communities where seniors maintained a strong quality of life. These contrasting experiences fueled their passion to introduce “The Australian Way” to the United States—an approach that raises the bar for consistency, care, and quality in senior living communities.
